The walls are coming down

Today was a busy day at our house. Kevin had the day off (he gets a four day weekend for Memorial Day and Labor Day, not too bad!) so I took the day off, just for fun. Kevin spent the day doing damage. I'll do my best to explain what is going on. We had a tankless water heater installed on Monday. This was very exciting to Kevin who loves to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

Having that installed meant we could get rid of the hot water heater closet that is in the laundry room, which meant that I could have a larger laundry room with a little extra work. So, we knocked down a few walls.

As you can see it is not very pretty, and to be completely honest it makes me a little nervous. I know Kevin knows what he is doing...he was raised by the do-it-yourself king, Ross...but that's also what makes me nervous.

Our friends Aaron and Kay are coming into town for the weekend so Aaron will help Kevin finish this project. Kay and I are in charge of picking out new tile for the floor and paint for the walls. I hope that in a day or two I will be able to post the finished product and everyone can be amazed...just like I will be!

HELP!!!

Well, hopefully your laundry room gets finished in a reasonable amount of time (although defining "reasonable" can be a tricky thing for McNeely men, right?). Look forward to seeing the finished product soon. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

It always, I will say again... always takes longer and costs more than expected. But just knowing that is some comfort. Even on TV they have problems. I like the looks of your heater. I am thinking about the same for our heater when it goes...again. Like the old song says, "have patience, have patience, don't be in such a hurry! Remember, remember, that God is patient too... etc.
