Rockwall @ Midland

We traveled to Midland, Tx on August 31st. Roughly 115 people (coaches included) on two charter buses and a Uhaul made the 6 hour drive to play our first gae of the season. Just so you know a little about Midland, if we lived there our blog would be titled "Midland, it's like Bakersfield." It really is. It's in west Texas, so it actually is much dryer than here in Dallas. The nights are much cooler and there are oil rigs everywhere. Just like Bakersfield. The only difference is there are no mountains, you can see FOREVER!

The game started out well. We forced an early turnover which led to our first touchdown. It was all Rockwall from that point on. The only negative part was a significant injury to a significant player. Of course I cannot give details, but he will be missed on the field.

Here's me bossing around my student trainers. We have 8 varsity student trainers, they are all girls. Trying to get 8 girls to do what they're told without getting into an argument isn't always easy. Truly, I love them all to pieces, and am very grateful for all their hard work.

This is what we do at the end of the game. We raise our "stingers" while the school song is being played by teh band and sung by all who know the words. Kevin thinks it's kinda stupid, but I think I have caught him in the act, so he can't say too much! The final score was Rockwall 40 Midland 7, they scored in the last few minutes of the game. It was a great way to start they season!
Rockwall Yellowjackets 1-0
GO JACKETS!

I'm so glad there is a picture of you doing your thing. Sometimes I wonder if you just pretend to work at the games since I've never seen any proof. HaHa just kidding I know you work your butt off, literally, since your butt is so small now. BRAT! I love you

I don't think it is stupid, and she has not caught me. I deny everthing.

Go Jackets!
