Camping

We had a blast! We left Friday afternoon for Ft. Parker State Park. It is about 1 hour and 45 minutes south of Garland. The weather was just gorgeous. The highs were in the low 70s and the lows were in the upper 40s and low 50s. The evenings were cold, but that is the best camping weather.

We did some fishing, Crystal caught 4 fish and Aaron S. caught 1. The rest of us just enjoyed the thrill of getting the worms eaten off of the hook with no reward. I decided that I was just fattening up the fish for the next guy to catch it, wasn't that nice of me?! :)

The Crawfords joined us on Saturday, just for the day and we all took a canoe ride in the. It was more enjoyable for some than others, but it was just one more adventure for our trip.

It was Lauren and Ethan's firt real camping trip, and I think they both enjoyed it. They were wonderful and kept themselves very entertained. It was a reminder of how much Kevin and I miss camping in Kings Canyon, but we were very grateful to have picked the right weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather.
