There is a mum. I kid you not, this is a small one. The girls wear these all day to school. They are usually purchaed by their homecoming date, but often their parents will buy them one as well, therefore, they have two. They take great pride in their mums, if you are a senior your mum is silver and white, but only seniors are allowed to have those. Welcome to Texas!
We ended up winning the football game, but not without a fight. The final score was 21-24, a much needed victory. So, I guess the lake belongs to Rockwall, yet again!
Saturday morning we headed to the State Fair of Texas. We love the State Fair. My parents didn't have an opinion either way, this was their third trip to the Fair. We had to have a corny dog and a few other fabulously fried treats; fried cheesecake and fried cookie dough! Yes, you could actually see the inches being added to my hips as I ate the cookie dough!
After the Fair we relaxed at home and then headed to church that night. After church we ate BBQ with the Swansons (Ethan just couldn't believe that Charlotte was in Texas!) and then called it a night. Sunday morning started with a yummy breakfast from Cracker Barrel, followed by a trip to the airport so my parents could get back to California.
It was a quick, but fun visit. The weather finally cooled off while they were here, we'd been experiencing summer-like weather for the past two weeks, so it was nice for everyone.
Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun visit!
