Last weekend we purchased a travel trailer. We both love to camp, but here in Texas it can be unbearably hot in the summer, cold in the winter and there are unpredictable thunderstorms in the fall and spring. We experimented with a rental trailer at Thanksgiving and decided that the "trailer life" is really the good life (no offense to Bryan, Texas whose motto is "The good life, Texas style"-you would
have to be there to understand).

The trailer is a 2001 Wildwood Lite. The couch slides out to give a little more leg room in the living area. We had been shopping around-mostly internet-for about two months. We ended up getting a really good deal, although I need to fix the fridge and of course several other small items.
Wish us good luck as next weekend we take it to Bryan/College Station (see motto above)
for Carolina's first birthday. As you can see at the picture on the right, at one year, Carolina is livin the good life, Texas style.
And last, but most definitely not least, our friends Aaron and Priscilla had a beautiful baby girl this week. Kate was 8 lbs. 7 ounces and is a healthy and happy young lady. Her parents are very pleased with the addition to their family.
Before too long we are sure that these kids will be able to go camping in auntie's and uncles house
on wheels. Kate's big brother Ethan is already anxiously waiting for his first trip in the trailer.

WOW...How Fun!!! I can't wait to hear about all of the adventures you guys have in your new trailer...it's so cool!
very cool! Kev and I are shopping for a new trailer also. We're looking for one with bunk beds. Trailer is awesome. We started with a trailer, no bathroom, moved up to a trailer with bathroom (toilet only) and are now ready to graduate to the shower included version. Congrats! Here's to many happy memories.
lisa, we passed on one with bunk beds, but it is a good idea. we also saw a couple trailers that had 3 bunks...exactly what you need-just stack them kids up!
Dude, where's the Skynard music on the pics? --Wichert
