Last fall some guys from our class at church started a softball team. When they were looking for a pitcher, Allison volunteered me to play. We played good, but lost a lot of games in the final inning and finished 3-7.
This spring we figured out a few things and won our first 9 games. Last night we were playing a team that was 8-1 for our last game of the season. If we won, we were champs. If we lost, we had to play them again. We lost the first game 10-0. In the second game, we relaxed and played a great game winning 13-8.
To say we were excited is an understatement. Some of the guys said they had never won anything before. I've been lucky enough to play on a lot of great teams (especially North Fresno Church), but this was a thrill for me and the rest of the team. It is always fun to win after having a losing season.

Maybe you're just SOOO good, that the teams you pitch for can't help but win...North Fresno hasn't won a championship since you left (although I'll probably get flack for saying that...or corrected).
Thanks Jamie, but that is definitely not the case. The only reason I play anymore is that I am able to pitch. I hit like an American League pitcher.
We'll see how it goes this summer when you're not pitching...the Fire Ants might not be so hot after all.
North Fresno just keeps gettin' older and slower. We may need to exercise our options and pull you back down to triple AAA Fresno to get us over the hump.
what makes you think I'm not old and slow?
I thought North Fresno won the championship tourney last year???
