Happy 2009!

Well, it is already a few days into 2009 and I am just now getting to our New Year's post.  It has been a fun filled 2009 so far!  On New Year's Eve the Crawfords came to town to hang out with us and ring in the new year.  The Lopez family also came over to help us celebrate.  We decided this year on a dessert buffet, and it was good.  We ate and played with all the little girls.  This first picture was my favorite of the night.  I wanted a picture of all the girls in their party hats, and apparently when you are almost 2 you don't want to do what anyone tells you to do.  So here is what we came up with!

Later in the evening, on her time, Carolina joined the party.  She sported a party hat and a blower, and we were lucky enough to get a picture.

This New Year's celebration was much different than years past.  With two babies and a toddler, there was never a dull moment.  Lauren was the big girl of the evening and she made it until midnight with the adults.  She is really good at yelling "Happy New Year" using her shaker and toasting!  I also made New Year's cookies, but they were not as good as I had hoped.  People ate them anyway, but I know I can do better.  I guess we'll give it a try again next year.

The next few days was spent hanging out with the Crawfords.  We always have a wonderful time with them, and this was no exception.  Julia and Macey got some time to catch up on that has ben going on in their lives so far.  And Carolina kept everyone on their toes!

God knew what He was doing when He gave Kevin a daughter, he loves spending time with all the little girls in his life.  This picture was taken one morning as everyone got out of bed, you couldn't have found a more happy guy than Kevin!

We hope everyone has had a wonderful start to 2009 like we have.  We don't think 2009 can be better than 2008 for us, but we are really excited to see what is coming!
