Legitimate excuse

It has been a long time since I have posted pictures, but I have a real excuse this time, our camera is broken. All of a sudden it will not focus and you cannot look through the pictures, so we have to take it in to get it fixed. No camera, no pictures of Macey, no blog. However, Grandma Charlotte came to visit this past week, and she has a camera that works!

We have a small blow up pool that we get out occasionally and Macey has really grown to love it. Sometimes she just sits in it and sometimes she splashes around and tries to "swim" (aka crawl through the water).

Cooling off

I am very proud to say that I have a little girl who loves books and loves us to read to her! I am very excited about this, because I am not a reader, but I have always wished I was. Hopefully her early love of books will turn into a love of reading.

One of her new games is peek-a-boo, and we play it at the coffee table. She squats down underneath, and we peek under the table, then she pops up and we say "peek-a-boo!" It can go on for quite some time, luckily it is so cute we are willing to keep playing.

Another game Macey plays is "Got you!" It is played when mama or daddy lays on the floor and says "Come get me." Macey then crawls as fast as she can and gets us. We then say "You got me" and she smiles and usually buries her head into us. This game is played at all times of day or night!

Macey has also learned how to wave. It started by us trying to have her wave bye-bye when Kevin goes to work, but it ended up with her mostly waving at herself in the mirror. She has the cutest wave, it is kind of like a princess wave. We are trying to get it on video and we will post it here when that happens. I am so thankful for digital video cameras, it is really hard to get a 10 month old to perform on cue!
