This year, after about 5 invitations, we decided to head down to Bryan, Tx and celebrate Christmas morning with the Crawfords. They had recently finished an addition to their house and we were to be the first to try it out! We were happy to come down, with kids and gifts in tow, to celebrate with them.
Christmas morning was fun, complete with anxious children, messes and chaos! No one went overboard on the gifts, which was just as well because all of the kids seemed to entertain each other throughout the weekend.
We had a wonderful time with the Crawfords, as usual. We had lots of food, the kids entertained us and each other and we made memories as we always do. The weekend was complete with cookie decorating, gingerbread house building, playing in the park and a quick drive to look at Christmas lights.
Later in the day Kay (with the help of the kids) made some sugar cookies and got them ready to be painted. This was a big hit and the kids loved it.
Macey was concentrating so hard. She is our little artist who pays attention to detail.
Xander made a masterpiece of his own, not nearly as much concentration here.
This picture was a miracle! We were all headed out to go look at some Christmas lights and I thought, let's get all the kids in a picture. Most of the time things don't work out as nice as you envision, but this time it did. From the left we have Julia (2), Macey (2), Lillia (1), Xander (2), Carolina (3). Amazing!!!!!
Our successful, last minute, Christmas Eve picture!
