A look back on 2010

Kevin - Kevin continued working at Cirrus Associates where he has been for 4 1/2 years. This past year he spent more time on out of town assignments than he ever has before, but it kept his job interesting! He continues to enjoy mountain biking (or really trail riding since there are no mountains) and tries to get one good ride in each weekend. He participated in a 10k run in March and an off-road sprint triathlon in August! Currently he is training for a 26 mile mountain bike race at the end of January. Oh, and in December he shot a hog on his first hunting trip.

Allison - Being a stay at home mom has never been more challenging! Busy toddlers who often need some extra TLC just about burn every ounce of energy she has. She managed to participate in a 10k run in March, a sprint triathlon in August and a half marathon in December, shew!

Macey - She gets more unique every day! She's a blonde, curly haired girl with a smile that will brighten up a room. Recently she's been learning her ABCs, making up her own songs about whatever comes to her mind and working on potty training! Some of her favorite things to do are coloring and playing with play-doh. Some of her least favorite things are sleeping and eating! :)

Xander - This may be the most eventful year this boy will ever have. 2010 began in Fujian, China and ended in Texas with a Dad, Mom and big sister. He's learned a new language and had two major surgeries and gets sweeter and sillier every day. He has been working on pronouncing the letters P and B and will be starting speech therapy very soon. Some of his favorite things are making pretend food in the play kitchen and eating anything and everything he can get his hands on...non-stop, all day! :) Some of his least favorite things are sharing his mom with his sister and being told no! ;)

For many reasons, 2010 will always be a year we will cherish. A 3 1/2 year journey that led to the adoption of Xander was clearly the highlight of this year. Watching our Macey go from a baby to a toddler was a close second, what a fun age. We are looking forward to a year of no surgeries (or at least just some minor ones) and getting out of the terrible twos! We're hoping to finally settle into our new normal with the "twins" and enjoy some family vacations that do not include a 13 hour plane flight.
